Time to review your supporting sentences and ensure that they are tied back to the topic sentence, are well connected between each other, provide personal details and follow the logical organization outlined in the topic sentence. Perform the following:
1. Review the video “SOP: Effective Paragraphs – Supporting sentences”
2. Go back to your essay and work paragraph-by-paragraph (except an intro) to review your supporting sentences:
- ensure that they are well connected
- double check that the supporting sentence develop the logic that you have outlined in the previous steps
- ensure that they are not generalizations and every bit of information provides important details that are meaningful for the admission committee
